I'm always trying to find more ways to eat ground turkey since its such a lean meat. The other day I combined a few of my favorite ingredients together to make this recipe - its a great week night dinner!
Ingredients
2 tbsp olive oil
500 g ground turkey
1 tbsp fresh ginger, minced
3 cloves garlic, peeled and minced
1 head of broccoli florets
½ cup soy sauce
2 tbsp sesame oil
1 tbsp hot pepper sauce
½ cup green onions
1 onion, finely chopped
1 red pepper, finely chopped
Brown rice for serving
Directions
Add 1 tbsp of olive oil to a large skillet over medium heat. When hot, add turkey and cook for 5 minute or until golden brown. While it cooks you want to try break it apart as much as you can. When cooked, remove from pan and set aside.
Add remaining tbsp of olive oil, sauté onion and red pepper for one minute, then add broccoli sauté for another three minutes. After, add garlic, ginger, soy sauce, and sesame oil and stir for another 2-3 minutes, then add green onion.
Add the ground turkey and mix well to combine, cook on high heat for 2-3 minutes.
Serve with rice of your choice, and enjoy!
