Fat gabs original salad

Fat gabs original salad - inspired by my favorite Middle Eastern salad and Cez's mama. It doesn't usually have avocado but I think it's the perfect ingredient to thicken up your salad without having to add any heavy salad dressings!



Ingredients

  • 2 small heads of gem lettuce, shredded

  • 4 tomatoes, chopped

  • 1 large avocado, chopped into large chunks

  • 1 cucumber, diced

  • 6 radishes, sliced

  • 4 spring onions, finely chopped

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 2 tbsp dried mint

  • 2 tbsp sumac

  • 1 tbsp garlic powder

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 3 tbsp red wine vinegar

Directions

  1. Chop all the vegetables, and put in a large salad bowl

  2. Add the avocado, then olive oil and vinegar

  3. Add all the spices

  4. Mix the salad together with large salad utensils, while trying to break up the avocado a bit to make the salad creamy

  5. Garnish with pomegranate molasses


-- Notes --

If you don't have sumac or mint, don't worry - add an extra tbsp of red wine vinegar

Red, orange, and yellow peppers go well in the salad too!
