Mas Huni

Mas Huni - a traditional Maldivian breakfast my host family taught me a few years ago. Although traditionally a breakfast, it serves as a great snack too!



Ingredients

  • 2 5-oz. can tuna packed with olive oil, drained and flaked

  • 1/4 red onion, finely chopped

  • 1/2 tomato, finely chopped

  • 1/2 tsp cumin

  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tbsp hot pepper sauce

  • 1/2 lime juice

  • 1/2 cup shredded coconut, unsweetened

  • Salt and pepper to taste


Directions

  • Mix together ingredients in a medium sized bowl, thoroughly, to make sure the spices and coconut blend well with the tuna.

  • Check taste and add more hot pepper sauce if you'd like it more chili

  • Cook paratha on the stove top as directed on packaging, and serve together.
