Fat Gabs avocado beef burger

A fat gabs original recipe - this beef patty has a great combination of spices and the perfect amount of melted cheese.


Ingredients


Makes four burger patties

  • 2 green onions, sliced 

  • 1 tbsp tomato paste 

  • 1 tsp mixed herb 

  • 1 tsp garlic powder 

  • 1 tsp cumin

  • 4, 1/2 inch cubes of extra strap cheddar

  • 1 tbsp paprika

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp ground pepper

  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper 

  • 500 g ground beef 

  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil 


Toppings

  • Lettuce

  • Tomato

  • Red onion 

  • Ketchup

  • Avocado 

Directions

  1. Mix ground beef and spices together. Split the ground beef into four and make four patties. 

  2. Press the extra sharp cheddar cheese blocks into each patty, and wrap the meat around it, completely covering the cheese 

  3. Preheat a skillet at medium heat for 8 minutes, then add 1 tbsp vegetable oil

  4. Add the patties (all at once, if there is room), cook on each side for 3-4 minutes or until cooked to your preference! 

  5. Assemble burger with desired toppings on a brioche bun, and enjoy!
